34 road accidents occurred in Baku last week, which killed three and injured 40.

Vagif Asadov, spokesman for Baku Traffic Police told the APA that 8,734 drivers were punished within a week. 146 of them are connected with drunk driving, 155 causing accident, 14 disobeying the police, 298 passing red light, 359 colored glass, curtain, 1,009 driving without seat belt, 201 high speed and other violations.

Mr.Asadov also noted that the UN organized Road Safety Week in Azerbaijan in conjunction with Baku Traffic Police last week.
