19 April 2007 [21:30] - TODAY.AZ
A conference dedicated to historical border issues in Turkish-Armenian relations will be held in Igdir, Turkey on 22 April.

Arzurum Ataturk University's professor Anvar Konukchu told APA that Armenian claims for Armenia and Anatolia will be disproved.

"I have comprehensive researches on Igdir. I have discovered one thing that is deliberately concealed by Armenians: Armenians killed many Iranian Azeri Turks in the Araz River. Dashnak Armenian government personally murdered Turkish population in the villages and settlements of Southern Azerbaijan. I am going to put down all doucumants on this issue in the conference to be held in Igdir on Sunday. Those territories are called 'Armenia,' but the territories of today's Armenia belonged to Azerbaijani khanates in the past. Historians from Baku are also seriously researching the issue," the professor stressed.

Anvar Konukchu also touched the restoration of Turkish leader grave 10km from Yerevan. "Armenians made Turkmanbashi (Turkmenistan's president) instrument for their plans and he garlanded on so called 'Armenian genocide' monument. Then they set up a monument to Garagoyunlu Yusif's (Turk) relative Saad bek. Armenian chauvinists massacre not only people but commit vandalism action against cultural monuments."

Anvar Konukchu said Armenian claims for Agridagh and Araz River will be disproved in the conference in Igdlr. "There is Yayla tent town in Iravan town. Until today those territories were considered Armenian territories, but our researches discovered the truth. The information reportedly extracted by Armenians from the Torah is of no importance for us. Those territories claimed by Armenians are of Scythian and hun descent. Armenians wipe out Turkish Sasani and put their history in its place."
