15 March 2007 [08:33] - TODAY.AZ
"I had a talk with Linares Mayor. He said he is very sorry for Teymour Radjabov that he had been robbed in Mexoco and promised to invite him to the tournament to be held in Linares in 2008," Azerbaijani Chess Federation vice-president and assistant of head judge in Linares tournament Faig Hasanov said.

The official said International Chess Federation (FIDE) has no authority to pass any decision on the robbery.

"FIDE cannot put this event for discussion as the organizer of the tournament is not the FIDE. Armenian Levon Aronian, Ukrainian Vasili Ivanchuk and FIDE vice-president Zurab Azmayparashvili have been beaten in the some super tournaments. But the FIDE hasn't taken measures against the events because it has no right. The FIDE may react to the events happened in the tournament organized by it," he said.

FIDE vice-president Zurab Azmayparashvili had told APA-Sport that the organization would consider the event Teymour faced in Mexico in one of its conference.
