Misir Mardanov: "The problem is only in recognition of law and medical diplomas between Turkey and Azerbaijan"

"Education Ministry has no decision on raising tuition fees in paid faculties. Some measures will be probably taken concerning it in future, but we have no intention about it," Education Minister Misir Mardanov told journalists.

He said that the majority of problems on mutual recognition of diplomas between Azerbaijan and Turkey have been solved.

"There are problems only in the recognition of diplomas of law and medical faculties. We are working to solve these problems. We discussed it at the meeting with Turkish Education Minister and Supreme Council of National Education. There are serious differences in the programs on law and medicine of the two countries. If the term on medical education is approved in the new education law there wil be no problems in this sphere," he said.

The Minister also said that the education in law faculties of Turkish high schools is based on European and world programs, APA reports.

"Our programs in this sphere differs from them. It is not easy to change these programs. We are working on conformation of these programs at present, after the process is over there will be no problem in the recognition of diplomas of law faculty of Azerbaijani and Turkish high schools," the Minister said.
