Akif Muradverdiyev's appeal to be considered tomorrow

The trial of President's Office ex-Administrative Office chief Akif Muradverdiyev's appeal to be presided over by Judge Court of Appeal Gayil Mammadov will be held tomorrow.

Muradverdiyev's lawyers appealed to Supreme Court for the decision of preliminary court hearing of Court of Appeals. But the Supreme court kept the decision of court of appeals in force.

It should be noted that the Grievous Crimes Court presided by Judge Tofig Pashyev sentenced him to six years in jail.

Muradverdiyev was convicted in the Article 179.3.2 (embezzlement), 308.2 (abuse of power), 311 (bribery), 313 (fraud) of Criminal Code. But the investigation of criminal case convicted in the Article 28. 278 (staging coup) and 28.220 (coup attempt) is underway. The former official is being treated in medical institution of Penitentiary Service.
