Afshar Suleymani to write book on his activity in Azerbaijan

27 February 2007 [09:05] - TODAY.AZ
"I am going to write a book about my activities and what I witnessed in Azerbaijan when I return Iran," Iranian Ambassador Afshar Suleymani stated.

He said he will have a rest for a while in Iran, for he was operated three years ago.

"I'll work in the foreign affairs ministry and be engaged in scientific activities," he said.

Suleymani noted that he believes in near future Azerbaijan will not have poverty. Touching upon the negotiations in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Ambassador said Iran supports territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

"We support all proposals of Azerbaijan in Karabakh conflict," he said.

He stated that there are some gaps in Iranian-Azerbaijani relations, APA reports.

The Ambassador is dissatisfied with the stage of relations in economy, education and science. But he couldn't realize some projects because of health problems and lack of time. He added that Azerbaijan is jealous of Iranian-Armenian relations and this is understandable.

"Iran's relations with Armenia are neighborhood relations and it is not against Azerbaijan. Iranian merchants trade with Armenians. But some powers here and in Armenia exaggerate this and try to cause problems," he said.
