90% out of 19,045 crimes uncovered in Azerbaijan

90% out of 19,045 crimes recorded last year in Azerbaijan have been uncovered, General Prosecutor's Office stated.

The number of crimes connected with deliberate murder, efforts to murder, kidnapping, rape, robbery, hijacking, capturing, hooliganism and the crimes committed by juveniles reduced. 484 crimes committed long ago were uncovered.

The number of crimes committed by previously-sentenced reduced by 6.6 times, crimes committed by criminal gangs reduced by 11.3 times crimes committed by armed groups reduced by 2.2 times.

268 criminal gangs consisting of 772 men and committed grave crimes were rendered harmless. 5 deliberate murder cases committed long ago were uncovered.

The number of criminal cases primarily investigated by the relevant bodies of Interior Ministry, Justice Ministry and Taxes Ministry, State Customs Committee and State Border Service, indictments of which were approved and sent to courts increased. Delay of consideration of crimes is 4.4%, APA reports.
