Broadcast of films in foreign language will be banned from Jan 1, 2008

"Azerbaijani TV channels will be given time to stop broadcasting films (documentary and feature) in foreign languages till the end of this year. The law banning transmission of films in foreign languages will come into force on January 1, 2008," the chief of National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) Nushirevan Meherremli told.

Meherremli noted that this time is given for TV channels to develop their logistical support.

NTRC will adopt decision which prohibits broadcast of films in foreign languages on first ten-day of March, APA reports.
