Over 500 appeals received by headquarters set up to help Russian Azerbaijanis in connection with the application of law on Migration in Russia on January 15.

Shakir Selimov, chief of the department of State Committee for Azerbaijanis living abroad told APA that most of the appeals were related to the arrangement of the documents.

The chief noted that the appeals are considered immediately. Shakir Selimov stated that international identity cards started to be issued to Azerbaijanis.

"Azerbaijani embassy in Moscow and Azerbaijani head Consulate in St. Petersburg deal with the process," he said.

The officers of the Ministry of Interior Affairs had been sent to Moscow and St. Petersburg to settle the problem on identity cards of Russian Azerbaijanis.
