Azerbaijani territories cleared from mines and ordinances

1,426,634sq.m areas of Azerbaijani territory have been cleared from mines and unexploded ordinances (UXO) and 7,416 UXO have been rendered harmless in December.

25 mine detection dogs, 156 combat engineers, 47 UXO operators, eight paramedics and over 100 assistants, and 12 mechanical demining flail participated in the operation. 79,971 UXO were found and neutralized, National Agency for clearing territories from mines told the APA.

ANAMA reports that 41,591,131sq.m areas have been cleared from mines up to now and 98, 127 UXO rendered harmless.
