09 January 2007 [14:15] - TODAY.AZ
"The certificate marks of the entrants are sometimes biased. There are some regions that the marks are objective, but in other regions biased. We have always declared the existence of this problem," the chief of State Students Admission Commission (SSAC) Maleyka Abbaszade told the journalists.

The chief of SSAC said the marks concerning mathematics are objective. "We investigate the assessment of the entrants in mathematics for many years. Our main goal is to consider the certificate marks during the entrance examinations. But it could happen in case that marks are objective and reflect the real level of the knowledge," she said.

She noted the importance of enlightening to prevent biased assessment. "If any entrant from the regions that graduated the school with excellent marks show low results in entrance examinations, we announce the results to society to prevent this case from the reiteration. At the same time we send these facts to Education Ministry and relevant city and region education departments. I suppose Education Ministry will take necessary measures. To take some other measures for prevention this case is out of our competence," she underscored. APA
