President Aliyev congratulates nation on Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis

He stated that this holiday embodies Azerbaijani nation the ideas of belonging, notional moral values, affection for Motherland, improvement of unanimity and organization.

"The idea of Azerbaijanis' unity and solidarity has already engraved on the minds of World Azerbaijanis and is priority of our policy. Much work has been done in organization of Azerbaijanis, improvement of Azerbaijani communities' activities and relations with the country. I and II Congress of World Azerbaijanis embodying tightly union of all co-patriots and notional and worldwide values stimulated the spread of Azerbaijani idea and determined our duties," he stated.

He pointed out that Azerbaijanis are playing more active role in delivery of Azerbaijani truth to the international community, agitation of national culture and exposure of sabotage of aggressor Armenian idea.

"It should be noted that, Azerbaijani Diasporas has more potentiality than it demonstrates at present. There are a number of serious problems to be settled. Azerbaijanis should integrate to political, economical and social-cultural life of the country they live in, act as a connecting means between Azerbaijan and the country. The activities of Azerbaijani Communities in different countries should be improved and connected with one another. Well organized attacks should be planned against the sabotage of insidious Armenians. Effective steps should be made on the issue of pan-Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani lobbies should be formed in leading countries. Fruitful cooperation should be established with friendly communities and lobbies and their experience should be used in the formation of a strong lobby," he noted.

He said that 2006 was a successful year for Azerbaijan.

President Ilham Aliyev stated that all difficulties and problems of Azerbaijan will be overcome and settled.

He congratulated nation on occasion of Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and New Year, President's information service told APA.
