Unstable weather to last till December 27

The weather was unstable, it snowed in foothills and mountainous regions and in most regions intensively December 21-22, Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry National Hydrometeorology Department Bureau Chief Umayra Tagiyeva informs.

The rainfall reached 43.0mm in Lenkeran, 27.0mm in Astara, 16.0mm in Zagatala, 11.0mm in Goytepe, 2.0-5.0mm in Absheron, 0.0-0.2mm in Deshkesen-Gedebey, 0.0-0.3mm in Gazakh-Ganja, 0.4-0.6 in the Great Caucasus, 0.3-0.1mm in Central Aran regions.

The snow was 3cm in Guba, 2cm in Gedebey and Gabala and 1cm in Zagatala. The north-west wind strengthened up to 15 m/s in Bilasuvar and 20-27 m/s in Absheron. According to the report of Oil Rocks station the height of the wave reached 3.6m.

The minimum temperature was 1 degree and 2-7 degrees in the mountainous regions. Umayra Tagiyeva said that unstable, cold and wet weather will continue in the country till December 27.

After short break on December 23 and 25 rainfall, in some areas sleet and snow, will be observed, APA reports.
