Turkey Culture and Tourism minister Atilla Koch commissioned to TURKSOY leadership

The 23rd meeting of TURKSOY held in Ankara is over. The final document adopted as the result of two-day meeting.

The final document considers it important to expand the relations with YUNESCO and some other international organizations and to prepare proposals for realization of joint projects with these organizations.

The meeting also adopted the 2007 Action Plan of the organization and made some amendments to the regulation of the organization. The meeting also decided to found International Center for Cultural Heritage of Turk Nations under the organization and replace the its main office in Baku.

The members of TURKSOY decided not to choose the ministers to the leadership of the organization and to give each leader the right of being the chairman twice.

The meeting decided to hold the 24th meeting of the organization in Astana, Kazakhstan in 2007.

The general director of the organization has been elected, as former Azerbaijan Culture Minister Polad Bulbuloglu did not participate in the meeting.

Turkey got the instruction to coordinate within six months.

Turkey Culture and Tourism Minister Atilla Koch was commissioned to general director of TURKSOY, APA Turkey bureau reports.

It should be noted that, Polad Bulbuloglu was the general director of the organization since 1993.
