Criminal case launched on Shemkir ship explosion

Sebayel district Deputy Prosecutor Elchin Sultanov told the APA that criminal case was launched on the fact on Article 162.2 (technical security negligence) of Criminal Code. No one has been held accountable for the accident yet. The criminal case is investigated by interrogator Museyib Hajiyev.

Explosion happened during dwelling on the engine part of Shemkir oil tanker under repair in Paris Commune Dockyard. Jalil Gurbanli's (born in 1968) body was found during fire reconnaissance. Five were injured as a result of the accident. They are Elshan Musayev (22 years old), Kamil Askerov (63 years old), Ganimat Ibrahimov (48 years old), Adil Ferzeliyev (40 years old) and Musa Mammadbayov (43 years old). The injured were taken to Hospital #5 and Musa Nagiyev Ambulance. Their state of health is said to be normal.
