President Aliyev against abolishment of ASEU's Derbend branch

It should be noted that, the Ministers Board decided to solicit on the abolishment of the branch of this university in May last year.

The chief of Education Ministry Executive Board Ilham Pirmammadov told the APA, the meeting presided over the president decided not to abolish the branch, but to develop it. Pirmammadov said that Derbend branch is the only tie in the sphere of education between Azerbaijan and Dagestan. This institution also provides Azerbaijanis living in Dagestan with education.

At present, Azerbaijan State Economic University prepares improvement plan for developing the branch. The draft plan will be presented to the government.
