Haji Mammadov: "Kamil Sadreddinov has no relation to my crimes"

Azerbaijan's Court of Grave Crimes today continued the trial of the gang led by Haji Mammadov, former high ranking official of the Interior Ministry Crime Investigation Department.

Defendant Kamil Sadreddinov, the chief of Interior Ministry Crime Investigation Office Department Fighting Property Crimes answered the questions of the lawyer Adil Ismayilov on Haji Mammadov's acquaintance with Zakir Nasirov. He said that they had only business relation. Sadreddinov also said he was made give a testimony against Zakir Nasirov.

Then Naji Mammadfov answered Adil Ismayilov's questions. He said that Kamil Sadreddinov had no relation to his crimes.

Then Ogtay Gerekmezli, the lawyer for Sadreddinov solicited again for sending an inquiry to Interior Ministry. He demanded Interior Minister Ramil Usubov, Former Deputy Prime Minister Abbas Abbasov and Dagestan parliamentarian Haji Makhachev to respond the inquiry. The court met his solicitation.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Abbas Abbasov sent Kamil Sadreddinov to Dagestan by Interior Minister Ramil Usubov's behest. He went there non-officially in parliamentarian Haji Makhachev's car. Ogtay Gerekmezli said that if they prove this the court cannot accuse Sadreddinov in Nazim Pashayev's kidnapping.

The trial will continue on October 13, APA reports.
