Defendant Kamil Sadraddinov, former official the Crime Investigation Department in his testimony said that he suffered pressure and torture during the investigation. "I was demanded to submit an application to the National Security Minister. They threatened me with life sentence. Sadraddinov also clarified the episode on his departure to Mahachkala. "Ramil Usubov called me and said that I was to immediately leave for Mahachkala by the order of Ramil Usubov. I went there in parliamentarian Haji Makhachev's car and met with Chechen a.k.a Maga. I constantly communicated with the minister," he said.

He also made clear the claims for paying no heed to Haji Mammadov's too much lay-up. "I called Haji to my cabinet and talked to him on this problem in 2004. He threatened me by dismissing. I decided he must retire. I did not see Haji after that," he said.

Sadraddinov said he was not informed about Haji's owning establishments in Russia and Azerbaijan. He said Haji Mammadov threatened him with deputy interior minister Asgar Alakbarov.
