National volleyball team gears up for World championship

Azerbaijan's women volleyballers are now in Zurich, Switzerland, to prepare for the world championship due to be held in Japan.

The ten-day training's program includes friendlies against Swiss champion Volero.

The finals tournament of the world championship in Japan will begin on October 31 with a group stage for which twenty four teams are divided into four groups of six teams. The top three teams in each group will go into the next round. Azerbaijan are drawn with China, Russia, Mexico, Germany and Dominican Republic. AzerTAg
