Adalet Asadullayev: "Prosecution purposely accuses me in kidnapping"

10 October 2006 [14:33] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijan's Court of Grave Crimes today continued the trial of the gang led by Haji Mammadov, former high ranking official of the Interior Ministry Crime Investigation Department.

Adalet Asadullayev gave testimony. He said he participated in the attack to the house in Mehdiabad. "I took Sidek Abdulvahabov, Aslanbek Chentamirov, Nishad Ismayilov and another Chechen to the house. I felt nothing doubtful in their speech. The prosecution claims that I stayed outside and informed the gang members of the coming danger. The prosecution is biased to me," he said.

Asadullayev also denied the claims on his participation in the attack to Eldar Muradov's house and in kidnapping of Nazim Pashayev and his chauffeur. "I am not Haji Mammadov's gang member and did not participate in his crimes. Prosecution purposely accused me of kidnapping," he said.

Asadullayev also gave testimony on stealing Daewoo car and said that he only took Chechens to Vishnovka village and knew nothing about the crime. "I did not participate in robbing Afag Melikov's house. After stealing the car I left them. I have no idea about kidnapping Javid Manafov and Elshan Hasanov," the defendant said.

The trial will continue in the second half of the day, APA reports.
