US State Department funds Junior Faculty Development Program in Azerbaijan

Junior Faculty Development Program is implemented in Azerbaijan.

As APA informs, this program is for university level instructors at universities and other institutions of higher education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and is funded by the US State Department.

The program provides JFDP Fellows the opportunity to spend 5 months at an American university where they will work with American colleagues, audit courses and pursue professional development activities in their specialty.

One important goal of the JFDP is for Fellows to establish close relations with colleagues in universities in the US.

To qualify for a JFDP Fellowship, an applicant must:
Be a citizen of Azerbaijan; hold a university degree and be currently teaching at an institution of higher education and have at least two years of teaching experience; have an appropriate level of the English language; be able to begin the JFDP in January 2007 and spend five months in the US.

Application Forms are available at the Baku ACCELS office and are due August 25, 2006.
