Haji Mammadov: "I was certain to kill Azer Ismayilov"

Haji Mammadov responded to the questions of public prosecutors on the episodes of kidnapping of milk plant owner Zeynalabdin Babayev and "Portofino" restaurant's owner Sabir Babayev's son.

Mammadov said he made plans on both kidnappings. He also said Crime Investigation Department former chief Zakir Nasirov and another officer Kamil Sadraddinov were aware of both crimes, and they shared the gained money.

Haji Mammadov also testified on the murder of Azer Ismayilov, department chief of Office to Fight Narcotics. He said he will make clear this murder after witness Rauf Babayev’s testimony.

"Like Shilkan Abuyev, Azer Ismayilov was against me too. I was certain to kill him as I was told such remark by him. I will say everything on this murder to authorized officials. I am not going to make a stir again," he said.

The trial will be continued on 9 August.

The organized gang is facing charges of manslaughters, kidnappings and several other crimes. Court proceedings are held on Haji Mammadov's 26 co-defendants, APA reports.
