A competition has been held for this post. The representative office told that six were selected from 200 applicants, who applied to the WHO headquarters in Copenhagen. One of them refused to participate in the competition.
Five candidates are participating in the competition now. They have sat a written and oral exam in accordance with the WHO regulations.
The headquarters will announce final results by August or September. The WHO representative, Moldovan Pavel Ursu will hold the post of head of the representative office in Azerbaijan by that time. According to the rules, the head of the office should by an Azerbaijani.
The latest head of the WHO Office in Azerbaijan Ferman Abdullayev left the post early this year, APA reports.
