International criminal gang stands trial in Baku

Court proceedings against 16-memebr gang charged with committing terrorism acts and other crimes started today in the Azerbaijan's Court for Grave Crimes.

The court informed APA that the criminal gang members Hajiyev Arif Hasanbayovich, Hajiverdiyev Emil Adil, Hamdan Mohamed Ahmed Salem, Chankayev Gadji Ibrahimovich, Abdulkarimov Abdullah Magomedovich, Berkan Aslan Hasanovich, Aliyev Shirin Sadri, Islamov Isa Azrailovish, Abdulhamadov Karanay Zaulbasarovich, Gaziyev Arsen Yunusovich, Asadullayev Jembek Junaitovich, Dalka Faruk Selami, Dalibashlar Mustafa Ahmad, Inan Emin Ahmad, Hayal Saljug Husnu, Karakash Cuma Shikimam are accused of committing a number of crimes.

According to the indictment, the gang members are citizens of Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey and Yemen. Most of them were members of religious organizations and were trained in the camp in Pankisi, in Georgia. They face charges of committing terrorism acts, illegally possessing weapons, murdering of police officer of Nasimi district Movlan Alibayov in the 3rd microdistrict, Baku, in July last year and other grave crimes.
