Khanlar Valiyev: "Interpol issued notice for 72 offenders over crimes committed by Armenians"

"Military Prosecutor's Office continues investigation into the crimes committed by Armenians. Interpol issued international notice for 72 accused and set card index on 532 suspects over these crimes," Military Prosecutor Khanlar Valiyev told.

As APA reports, the prosecutor said that two delegates of the Interpol have arrived in Azerbaijan related to this case. Mr.Valiyev stressed that the investigation found out a number of inhuman crimes committed by Armenians.

"Armed groups composed of foreign citizens as well as Armenians and Russians made armed attack on Garadaghly village of Azerbaijan's region of Kojavend and took 106 Azerbaijanis as hostages on 15-17 February on 1992. 49 Azerbaijani hostages were shot dead in the place called Baylik, and 57 were tortured for a long period. Armenian armed gangs attacked on Meshali village of Asgharan region, Nagorno Karabakh on 22 December, 1991. They killed 25 villagers and injured 14.

February 25 to 26, 1992 Armenian armed companies and Armenian armed gangs together with personnel of regiment 366 made an attack on Azerbaijan’s town of Khojali killing 339 Azerbaijanis.115 people escaping to Aghdam region were missing and 421 were injured, 30 were taken hostages, the people and state suffered a great damage. Criminal case was launched in compliance with article 103 and other articles of Criminal Code for being responsible for committing genocide, and all materials of the criminal case have been consolidated," the Military Prosecutor concluded.
