MNS neutralized Iran-Azerbaijan-Russia-Japan drugs traffic

As a result of investigation measures conducted by the Ministry of National Security (MNS) of Azerbaijan, a group illegally transporting drugs through Iran-Azerbaijan-Russia-Japan route was revealed and several members were neutralized.

According to APA, the residents of Edishe village of Jalilabad region – Ruslan Aghayev born in 1985, Vadim Guliyev born in 1988, Saleh Guliyev born in 1988, and resident of Salyan – Elchin Abdullayev born in 1977, who were all engaged in transportation of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan, were detained.

During their inspection 21.694 kg (net weight) of hashish was revealed and confiscated. Hashish was specially packed and had a special production stamp. It was revealed that V.Guliyev, S.Guliyev and R.Aghayev received hashish from the Iranian citizens – Mammad, Aligulu and Islam near Jafarli village of Jalilabad region and brought to Alar village of Jalilabad region.

However, as a result of the measures implemented, the group's members were detained and about 22 kg of hashish was confiscated.

A criminal case was started in the Investigation Head Office of MNS under the articles 206.3.2 (smuggling of drugs by a group of concerted persons), 234.4.1 and 234.4.3 (illegal preparation, production, keeping, transportation, sending or sale of large quantity of drugs, psychotropic substances or precursors by a group of concerted persons).
