Azerbaijani citizens serve in Russian Army

Russian Defense Ministry representative Vasili Smirnov stated that Azerbaijanis also serve in the Russian Army.

After military service system by contract was restored, 70 foreigners are serving in the Russian Army, APA reports.

Most of hired servicemen are from Uzbekistan (19 men), Tajikistan (15) and Ukraine (9).Hired servicemen from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Moldova are serving in the Russian Army as well.
