"Female Democracy Network" international meeting to be held in Baku

"The exact date is unknown yet, but we will try to coincide it with the International Women Day," independent political scientist, Aytan Shirinova, told Trend, commenting the results of the Washington conference of the network.

Shirinova said, adding that by her initiative the Regional Executive Council of the network in Europe and Asia will also be in Baku.

Though, the participants list is not yet known it is expected that its will be high level. "For example, US might be represented by the Secretary of the State, Condolisa Rise and other officials," she said.

Washington conference that was held with the participation of the famous leaders of the female organization from Asia, Africa, Latin America, Middle East and United States has visited the White House and met Laura Bush.

US vice state secretary on democracy and global matters, Paula J. Dobriansky, former foreign minister of Spain, Ana Palacio and Canadian ex-prime minister Kim Campbell took part at the conference.

Female Democracy Network – IRI initiative has an aim of developing relations between female-leaders from around the world. The network supports political, economical and civil participation of women in the world life.
