Two arrested villagers of Damya Gorarkhi village of Marneuli region are expected to be set free.

According to APA, they are 50-year-old Gulkhanim Gojayeva and 80-year-old Hajikhalil Mammadov who alongside 16 residents protested against the land distribution.

Local resident of Damya Gorarkhy village, Nariman Sadigov told that Georgian law enforcement bodies searched the houses, broke the windows, and put a physical and moral pressure on the villagers on February 22. The residents are in alarm and they cannot leave the village.

"We know the police have a list and they will come to arrest the villagers which were mentioned in the list. Those, who get opportunity, leave the village as soon as possible," he said.

The leader of Azerbaijani People's Movement "Geirat" Alibala Asgharov confirmed that the law enforcement bodies had the list.

"The list includes names of 30 residents. The law enforcement bodies searched several houses in Damya Gorarkhy village last night but they did not arrest anyone. However, the villagers mentioned in the list are being searched at present," Asgharov reported.
