German aircarft en route Munich-Baku-Kirkuk disappeared

Plane en route to Iraq from Germany via Azerbaijan disappeared from the radar screens yesterday.

A German "Sesna-?501" private aircraft disappeared on Friday in the air space of Iraq, the German news TV channels inform.

A small private airplane flew out on Tuesday from Munich to Iraq. As Trend  reports, according to the latest news, the aircraft made an intermediate landing in Baku, Azerbaijan, then it flew out to Kirkuk in the north of Iraq.

As soon as the plane crossed the airspace of Iraq, no data on its whereabouts arrived. According to the TV channels report, "it has simply disappeared from radar screens".

The Bavarian police department for flight safety confirmed the fact of the aircraft loss, TV channels note.

According to the report of the Bavarian department, there were 6 passengers, except for the crew members (their number is not mentioned) on board, among them one citizen of Iraq, RIA Novosti reports.

Azerbaijan Airlines State Concern (AZAL) confirmed that the private aircraft made a landing in Baku for fuelling and left the air space of Azerbaijan without any problems.

As APA infoms, the Chief of Suleymaniye airport, in the north of Iraq, Kamran Ahmad Abdulla said that they disconnected to the plane with 5 Azerbaijani businessmen on board.

Mr.Abdulla said that mountainous territories near Iran-Iraq boundary are searched. Weather condition was reported to be unstable in the north of Iraq yesterday.
