Savings of Azerbaijani citezens to be repaid in July

As ANS reports, study of practices of foreign countries in the field and specification of datum in occupied Azerbaijani lands caused delays in preparatory works in this direction. Despite all these difficulties, rules of the repayments are to be approved not late than April.

"We would like to return the savings in 8-10 years, however the period is up to 40 years in certain states. High level indexation works are carried out by the government now," said Avaz Alakbarov, Minister of Finance in presentation of new website of Finance Ministry.

Speaking about expected inflation level for 2006 year, Mr.Alakbarov stated the figure wouldn’t exceed 10 percent though Azerbaijan gets more income from oil as compared to relevant period of last year. "The government takes certain preventive measures as tightening control over state budget means, finances in turnover, etc.."

The minister said budget incomes would increase 50 percent thus reaching more than USD 5 billion next year.
