Mayor's Office of Baku didn't allow "Juma mosque" Religious Community to stage a demonstration outside "Galaba" cinema.

Leader of the community Haji Ilgar Ibrahimoglu told APA that, the Mayor's Office addressed them a letter stating that, the office approves the denunciations of the publication of caricatures of Prophet Muhammad in several European newspapers.

The executive power of the capital also stated that, the press of Azerbaijan discussed this issue and public opinion is clear concerning this event.

However, the Mayor's Office didn't authorize the demonstration. I.Ibrahimoglu said that, the community will meet to discuss the response of the Mayor’s Office tomorrow and will decide their further step after that.

"Juma mosque" Religious Community had planned to stage a demonstration outside ‘Galaba’ square to protest against the publication of caricatures of Prophet Muhammad in several European papers.
