Sozar Subari: "Armenians' acts are aimed to strain the relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia"

08 February 2006 [15:31] - TODAY.AZ
"The facts stated in the article "Dashnaks and Armenian separatists are grateful to Sozar Subari" published in the newspaper Akhali taoba on January 17, 2006 are explicitly wrong and aimed at instigating ethnic hostility," said public defender of Georgia Sozar Subari.

He made this statement to Georgia bureau of APA while commenting the article published about him in the newspaper Erkir of Dashnaksutyun party by Armenians.

It should be noted that, the newspaper wrote that as if Sozar Subari talked about the humiliation of Armenian cemeteries in Julfa region of Nakhchivan in the committee for human rights of the parliament and as if this caused anxiety of Georgian parliamentarians. It was written that, as if this fact was included into January 1, 2006 report of the Public defender.

S.Subari stated that, as this issue has nothing to do with Georgians or Georgia it couldn’t possibly be included into the report: "The newspaper Akhali taoba didn't contact me and Ombudsman's Office of Georgia, didn't define more precisely and even didn't require the report when it published the article. This false information serves instigating ethnic hostility and straining the relations between the two brotherly countries in the period when the brotherly Azerbaijan is granting us aid."
