State Frontier Service detained 34 wanted persons

The associates of the SFS confiscated 1 pistol marked "Parabellum", 15 cartridges of 9 mm, 1 "RGD-5" hand grenade, 1 explosive of 1 "RGD-5" hand grenade, 30 cartridges with 5.45 mm, 1 missile, as well as, 22.1gr heroine, 2.3 gr. opium and 1.1 gr. marijuana last year.

19 attempts to violation of state border were prevented and as a result, 12 Georgian, 3 Azerbaijani, and 3 Iranian citizens were detained as infiltrees, 37 Azerbaijani citizens were detained for violating rules of border regime. 6 Uzbekistani, 4 Kyrgyz, 5 Azerbaijani, 1 Pakistani, 1 Moldovan, and 1 Iranian citizen were detained for attempting to pass the border with forged document, 2 Azerbaijani, 2 Russian, 1 Georgian and 1 Pakistani for having documents of not their own, 62 foreign citizens were detained for not having proper documents in January.

In addition, 21 Malaysians, 8 Chinese, 6 Nigerians, 4 Singaporeans, 4 Philippines, 2 Iranians, 3 Bangladeshis, 2 Indian, 3 South Koreans, 1 citizen of Trinidad and Tobago, 1 Lebanon, 1 British and 1 Israeli citizen were detained for not having visas, 2 Pakistanis, 1 Senegalese, 1 Georgian and 1 Russian were detained as suspects and relevant measures were taken about them.

Illegal transfer of $700, 190.000 Iranian rials, 740 boxes of different cigarettes, 74 satellite television antennas, 23 rolls of (495 meters) fabrics, 5 different jewelry (in the worth of AzN 4.66), 230 liters of petrol, 920 game dicks, and 35 head of big-horned cattle was prevented last month, APA was informed by the press center of SFS.
