Azerbaijan to acquire energy from Russia at 3,636 cents per 1kW/hour till Nov

Azerbaijan will sell 350m KW/Hour energy to Russia at 1.6 cents per 1kW/hour at night-time, while Russian will supply 1bn kW/hour energy to Azerbaijan at 3,636 cents per 1kW/hour in day-time.

Azerbaijan intends to fill up energy deficit, estimated at 400mW, at expense of the Russian energy, the press service of Azerenerji JSC told Trend. Besides, Azerbaijan plans to commission the fifth energy block at Azerbaijani Thermoelectric Power Station (TPS) in Mingachevir (300-320 mW) and module power station in Astara (90 mW) in February.

During 2005 Russia supplied 1,033bn kW/hour energy to Azerbaijan at 2.8 cents per 1kW/hour.
