3860 internally displaced families living in refugee townships and wagons to be provided with flats till April of this year

Construction of 13 new settlements for 3860 internally displaced families living in refugee townships and wagons which has been started since the beginning of the past year will be completed in April.

According to the information given to APA from the State Committee on the Work with Refugees and Internally Displaced People, transference of 157 internally displaced families to newly-built “Seferliler” settlement in Aghdam will be started in these days.

107 internally displaced families have been transferred to “Alibayli-1”, 107 families to “Alibayli-2”, 390 families to “Banovshalar”, and 70 families to “Banovshalar-1” settlements all situated in Aghdam region so far. 12 of the settlements are constructed in Aghdam and 1 in Aghjabedi. The settlements are built in the framework of the “State Programme on improvement of living conditions of refugees and internally displaced people and increasing of employment”.

It should be noted that there were 12 refugee camps in Azerbaijan. 5 of them have already been abolished and works are currently carried out for abolishment of 4 refugee camps. Works for abolishment of other 3 camps will be started in some period.
