Addressed social aids to poor citizens to be distributed since April 1

The aids will cover at least 30 per cent of Azeri population.

As ANS reports, since April 1, distribution of addressed social aids to poor citizens will be launched, and the aids will be calculated since January 1. Ali Naghiev, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population, says no problems will occur in the implementation of the deal. Despite aids will be distributed since April 1, January, February, and March will be covered, as well. The aids will be distributed to families, members of which have less than 30 AZN per month. Its amount will be equal to differences in profits of family members per month due to 30 AZN level. Those who have no profit at all will be able to receive 30 AZN maximum. “The aids will be distributed to some 2.56 million people. The figure is due to 40 per cent poverty level.” said Ali Naghiev. Some 72 million AZN has been allocated from 2006 Budget to the issue.

Ali Naghiev says assessment and calculation of incomes, concerning criteria and refuse procedures will be attracted in a normative document to be confirmed by the Cabinet of Ministers in recent days.
