Mechanism for funding initial medical services was discussed in Baku

The organizer of the event “Mechanisms of funding the initial medical services; foreign experience and Azerbaijan” was the Centre for Strategic Researches, Trend reports.

Officials from the Ministries of Finance, Healthcare, of the international and non-governmental organizations operating in Azerbaijan took part in the event.

The meeting was held within the project, implemented jointly with the Centre for Economic Researches and the British Finca company «Transparency of budget control”.

Within the project which was executed in Terter and Barda during 5 years, pilot projects on establishing special models on spots on research, monitoring and polling for rendering medical services in the regions aimed at raising their quality have been implemented. .

Problems of lack of funding in the healthcare sphere need to increase fund allocation for this field have been discussed during today’s meeting.
