State commission is scrutinizing causes of fire at Sumgayit EP-300 factory

A source in Azerkimya noted that the fire did not influenced the operation capability of the EP-300 factory. "Operation of the unit N1 where the fire broke out is currently suspended," the factory stressed estimating that the repair works will take two weeks.

As for the naphtha used as the fuel for the units, they continue buying naphta as usual. According to the chief of the Fire Safety Department of the Interior Ministry a motor fuel spill caused the fire break out to covering 100 square meters of the plant's area.
