Irada Ashumova won the gold medal, our handball players defeated Armenians

The first day of the competition was successful for the Azerbaijani sportswomen. According to the information given to APA by the chief of the press-service of the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Tourism Ragif Abbasov, our sportswoman Irada Ashumova won the gold medal of the competition in fighting from air-gun.

The Azerbaijani handball players also started the competition with the victory. Our sportswomen defeated Armenian handball players with the score of 52:13 in the first match.

The chief of the press-service of the Handball Federation Vugar Zeynalov informing APA about it said that the organizers of the competition illegally permitted Armenian, Russian and USA sportswomen to participate in the competition.
