Winter and fall meet each other in Azerbaijan.

Snow stared falling in country's regions early in October.

Unstable weather continued from October 3 daytime till 4 morning, the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry reported.

Snow fell on high mountainous areas. Rainy weather was also observed on some places.

Amount of precipitation made 8-59 mm in Baku and Absheron peninsula, 22-91 mm in Lankaran-Astara zone, 4-20 mm in the Greater Caucasus, 3-18 mm in Central Lowland districts, 9-27 mm in the Lesser Caucasus, 2-9 mm in Gazakh-Ganja zone, 3-15 mm in Nakhchivan AR.

Snow depth made 13 cm in Khinalig, 3 cm in Leze, 10-20 cm in Lerik.

Notably, since 1881, there has been no sharp drop in air temperature in Baku and Absheron peninsula. The temperature dropped from 35 C degrees to 20 C degrees.

On October 2, snow fell on high mountainous areas - Khinalig, Giriz, Shahdagh. The snow depth reached 17 centimeters in Khinalig, 7 centimeters - in Giriz and 3 centimeters in Leze. 

The amount of precipitation reaches 3-39 mm in Baku and Absheron peninsula, 9-110 mm in Lankaran-Astara region, 9-70 mm in the Greater Caucasus, 8-56 mm in Central Lowland regions, 22-35 mm in the Lesser Caucasus, 8-25 mm in Gazakh-Ganja zone and 2-10 mm in Nakhchivan AR.
