Private services in Azerbaijan to be taxed

15 December 2015 [16:37] - TODAY.AZ

The Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan is developing taxation mechanisms for individuals rendering private services, Azerbaijani First Deputy Minister of Taxes Natig Amirov told reporters within the framework of a press conference Dec.15.

“We are discussing in what form private services of baby-sitters, tutors, and others will be taxed,” he said. “It may be patents, simplified declaration and others. The main thing is to encourage people to pay taxes, but at the same time not to offend them.”

Amirov went on to add that international experience in this field is currently being studied, and a final decision on the taxation mechanism hasn’t been made yet.
