First Lady opens kindergartens in Baku’s districts

Azerbaijan`s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-President of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the opening of orphanage-kindergarten No 91 in Mardakan, Baku, on November 12.

The orphanage-kindergarten, opened in 1963, was reconstructed on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The two-storey facility has 10 groups for children from two to six years of age. The kindergarten can handle up to 200 children. All necessary conditions have been created here for children. The green areas were laid out and amusement facilities installed in the yard of the orphanage-kindergarten.

On behalf of residents, President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva were thanked for the work carried out in Khazar district, as well as the reconstruction of the orphanage-kindergarten.

The first lady accompanied by Leyla Aliyeva also inaugurated the nursery-kindergarten No 84 in Bina after the reconstruction.

This nursery kindergarten was opened in 1984. The two-storey kindergarten was built in the place of a pre-school education facility on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

All rooms in the reconstructed building are provided with necessary equipment. Decorative trees were planted and a green area was created in the yard of the kindergarten.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation successfully implements many projects in developing of childcare institutions' infrastructure, as well as addressing local problems in various parts of the country, and assisting to the vulnerable groups of population. The Foundation also holds social programs abroad.
