Bust of national leader Heydar Aliyev unveiled in Israel

A ceremony has been held at Azerbaijan Culture Center in Israel to unveil a bust of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The ceremony was part of a series of events held by Israel-Azerbaijan Association, Aziz, to mark the 92nd anniversary of the national leader.

Speaking to the ceremony, Ninel Shakhova, the author of the bust, said she looked through a lot of photos of national leader Heydar Aliyev before “I found the one I needed for my work”.

Mayor of Afula Yitzhak Miron unveiled the bust. He praised Azerbaijan`s contribution to the victory in the WWII.

Chair of Azerbaijan Culture Center Yegana Salman highlighted national leader Heydar Aliyev`s role in the history of Azerbaijan.

Participants in the ceremony included delegates from the cities of Acre, Kiryat Yam, Nazareth and Netanya.
