April promises to be warm

Although the last days of March have left us feeling cold and dreary, from all the clouds, April promises to be warm in Azerbaijan.

The report of the country's National Hydrometeorology Department gives positive predictions for the second month of spring.

Much of Azerbaijan will wake up with the sun this April as the Sun will return, warming the air with its gentle rays and allowing people to enjoy some much deserved fresh air.

The temperature is expected to be close to the climatic norm, said forecasters.

The weather in the country’s capital, Baku as well as the Absheron Peninsula seems to be warm as temperatures will vary in between 12 and 14 degrees C, reaching even double figures (20-25 degrees C) in some days. At night temperatures will be 7 and 12 degrees C.

Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will also be pleased as warmth will return with temperatures of 13-18 degrees C during the day, and 7-12 degrees at night. In some days the weather will feel even summery as temperatures are expected to rise to 22-27 degrees C.

Azerbaijan's coolest districts will be Khankandi, Shusha, Khojali, Lachin, and Zangilan of the Upper Karabakh region, where temperatures are predicted to stay at 7-10 degrees C, with a slight drop at night of 2-7 degrees C and 11-16 degrees C during the day.

Average temperatures in Azerbaijan's Gazakh, Ganja, Goranboy, Terter, Agdam, Fizuli and Jabrayil regions will also be close to climatic norm, at about 7-12 degrees at night and 13-18 degrees during the day.

Balakan, Zagatala, Gakh, Sheki, Oguz, Gabala, Ismailli, Shamakhi, Shabran, Guba, Gusar and Khachmaz regions will also experience warm weather. The temperatures in these regions will vary from 11 to 16 degrees C during the day, and 6-11 degrees C at night.

April will not abandoned Central Aran - Mingachevir, Yevlakh, Geychay, Agdash, Kurdamir, Imishli, Beylagan, Sabirabad, Shirvan, Bilasuvar, Saatli, Neftchala and Salyan regions as the average temperatures in the regions will stay at 13-16 degrees C, slightly decreasing at night to 7-12 degrees C.

The residents of the South regions including Masalli, Yardimli, Lerik and Astara will also be satisfied with the spring’s warmth. Forecasters predicted average monthly temperatures of 13-15 degrees C. At night temperatures will stand at 7-12 degrees C, while during the day the weather will be warmer, reaching up to 13-18 degrees C.
