Even in November the weather can surprise us, changing sharply for the worse.

The unstable weather dominates in the country since November 1. The temperature has dropped to 12 degrees C, which is quite unusual for Azerbaijan.

The heavy rain has already brought many problems in the capital; a number of houses were flooded and traffic was slowed down at streets.

The worsening weather conditions caused two road traffic accidents this morning, Baku State Traffic Police department head Vagif Asadov said.

Meanwhile, the heaviest snow fell on the north of the country in Khinalig village of Guba region, which created many problems. So, vehicle movement was slowed down on the road Guba-Khinalig. Snow height in Khinalig is 40 centimeters and in Gadabay regions - seven centimeters.

Spokesman for Interior Ministry's central State Traffic Police Department Kamran Aliyev said that despite the rain in Baku, snow in Gusar and sleet in Agsu all the roads are open now.

Aliyev also added that the highways are open and there are no restrictions on the movement of transport in Azerbaijan.

Moreover, he noted that in the past two days, 12 road accidents were reported, in which two people died and 14 people were injured.

Aliyev has warned drivers to be more careful and prepare themselves for the slippery roads. He stressed that drivers should choose the speed limit, considering the meteorological and road situations.

"Primarily, drivers should use the tires which are appropriate for the winter season. In this weather, drivers should be more vigilant," he said.

The average temperature in Baku and Absheron Peninsula on November 4 is expected to be 2-4 degrees C at night and 5-9 degrees C during the day, according to the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

The sky over the capital will be filled with rainy clouds and the north-west wind will blow.

In some Azerbaijan's regions, intense rains and in the upland regions snow and sleet are expected.

The forecast says that unstable weather will stand in Azerbaijan until November 5.
