Wedding day is a special, vivid and surprising day for every bride and groom. So, the day should be organized in a way to create the most exciting moments for them.

However, as experience shows, the organization of this special day may take a large part of their time and energy.

There are sufficient number of hilarity houses in Azerbaijan where people celebrate their happy days according to their customs and traditions. However, owners of these houses sometimes create definite troubles for the families by setting high prices for their goods and services.

Wedding day is expected to turn into a memorable day for a family but because of additional costs, it can easily turn into a hard day.

This has sparked concerns among the population who cannot afford such high prices.

To put an end to such concerns, Azerbaijan's parliament has made some changes in a draft law titled "About Consumers' Rights Protection."

The bill says that a consumer has the right to freely choose the goods and services, receive safe products and services with all necessary information about them.

Based on the bill, no hilarity house can force consumers to buy low-quality goods and provide unneeded services. Meanwhile, the consumer has the right to buy the necessary goods from a kit offered by the seller.

Those desiring to organize a holiday celebration are recommended to know their rights.

Before making an order in a hilarity house, a consumer has the right to require the menu with prices and description of services.

A consumer has a right to include in the list of dishes those alcoholic, soft drinks, desserts and so on he/she wants to offer their guests.

The list of entertainment, dances, and music to performed at the ceremony should be fixed after getting the approval of the consumer;

Sides should enter into a contract, which will reflect the specific names of the dishes, alcoholic and soft drinks, desserts and service, as well as their portions and prices.

A consumer should require provision of payment documents (cashier's check, receipt), confirming the amount of paid for the services.

State Service for Anti-monopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Ministry of Economy and Industry operates a hotline to receive complains about violations of consumers rights in the houses of hilarity. By calling 498-15-01 and 498-15-04 or 195 - 2 the Ministry's information and call center, one can directly inform the related officials about the violations.
