First snow of year falling in northern Azerbaijan

Winter has suddenly arrived in Azerbaijan. The first snow has already reached its northern regions.

People of Khinaliq, Qiriz, Alik, Qiriz dehne villages of Quba, and Laza and Sudur villages of Qusar have seen the first snow in this season.

About 10 cm of snow fell in Khinaliq, while 2 cm of snow in Qiriz villages, the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources said.

The snow continues to fall in this regions.

Earlier, the snow was seen in Azerbaijani Gakh and Gabala regions' mountains.

The weather forecasters say that wind will increase and the temperature will decrease to 4-6 degrees C in Baku and Absheron Peninsula on October 7. The cold weather will be accompanied with heavy rains during the day.

The temperature will be 11-16 degrees C during the day and at night.

The sky over the Azerbaijani regions will be closed with rainy clouds and the weather will get cold. In some places, the west wind will get stronger.

The temperature will stand at 14-19 degrees C in the day and 10-14 at night. The temperature in the mountains surely will be cooler: 5-8 degrees C during the day and 1-5 degrees C at night.

Cold snap after a good weather can be dangerous for your health. So dress warmer cloths and look after your state of health.
