Textbook publishers get rid of VAT

Producers of textbooks and children's literature, excluding workbooks, for educational institutions in Azerbaijan will be exempted from value added tax (VAT).

This is part of a proposed bill amending the tax code that was adopted on Dec.2 by the parliament ( Milli Mejlis) of Azerbaijan.

Editorial, publishing and printing activity will be exempted from VAT.
