A meeting of senior officials of ministries of labor of member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will be organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan in Baku on April 23-24, and a ministerial conference will take place on April 25-26, the ministry stated on Monday.
"Each of these activities contributes to promotion of sustainable development of the platform between countries, presentation and exchange of progressive ideas and innovation, as well as development of the labor market in our country, reduction of unemployment and improvement of the welfare of the population," according to the statement.
On September 10, 2011, at the first meeting of Labour Ministers of OIC Member States in Istanbul, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Azerbaijan initiated to hold the next meeting in Baku in order to ensure the duration of the discussed prospects for cooperation.
His initiative has received the unanimous support of the Secretariat. The OIC and the ministry have agreed to conduct the aforementioned activities in Baku.
"Each of these events is another proof of the growing role of our country in building an atmosphere of trust for cooperation between the Islamic world and other people," the report says.
